Re: Very Touching by Patti on Monday March 13, @07:14PM Jeff - ALS progresses very rapidly. It is just terrible . My Dad was diagnosed with Bulbar ALS in March 2001 - and passed away in August 2002 . It was fast - and it is just awful to " watch" your loved one suffer . My Dad was a very strong man - and fortunately I was able to stay strong as I cared for him. My prayers are with you and your family. I admire your courage and also , of course , the courage of Joyce's family and Joyce herself as they ( and she) face this disease.
