my dad lost his life to ALS and went through the same things
in August of 2000 my dad was diagnose with the ALS diease. His first symptoms was his tongue muscles gave out. Then he lost the ability of his right hand. After this occured he went to the doctor and they told him that he had a mild stroke while he was sleeping.Well then we wnet on believing that, when finally his legs got weaker. Then they sent us to a neuroglist and he classified that it was ALS. Within 3 months, my dad lost almost everything.Speech, movement, and breathing. At first we didn't have the money to take has someone else take cae of him so we had to do it ourselfs.THat is ruff on a 17 year old boy and his brothers that where younger than he was. As time marched on he finally went in to a nursing home when he had a tube running everything in his body. He was misuerable. On august 3 of 2002 my dad did not wake up that morning, he passed away in his sleep.I miss him dearly and i know what ya'll are going through.Be tough and hang in there, good things come to those who wait, only we wasn't as lucky as ya'll
