My 16 year old daughter has ALS and in 5 months since her diagnosis has gone from being a normal teenage cheerleader to totally unable to move, on a vent, and speech almost gone. Our Family will be praying for joyce

Jane -- Never lose hope. There WILL be a cure soon. That's what I believe, and that's what I tell my mother every day. Make SURE your daughter knows that she is not alone, and that there are people out there both with and without ALS fighting to get both her and my mother cured. They will succeed, and they will succeed soon. This latest development with the gene therapy has me very excited. This appears to me to be the KEY to treating ALS and if this is combined with other treatments, I believe it could reverse it! Let's keep our fingers crossed! KEEP POSITIVE!
