Re: thank you

Hello, My Uncle was just diagnosed with ALS on June 12, 2003. My family and I are in shock and I need to contact others who are dealing with this horrible disease. I have been searching the internet to see what types of treatments are being researched. I found one website for a doctor who is a board certified naturopathy doctor. I know it is considered alternative therapy (herbs, omega 3 fatty acids, coral calcium, etc), but my family is certainly going to talk to this doctor and see what he has to say. We absolutely refuse to stand by and watch him deteriorate without trying everything we can. My mom has spoken to massage therapists who recommend that he have deep massages every week to help release the toxins in this muscles. The testimonials I have read on oasisofhealth.com have been very encouraging and we are definitely going to look into it. We refuse to listen to doctors who say..."Sorry, if I were you I would retire, move to florida, and wait to die". We absolutely refuse. He is much to precious to us. We will do everything in our power to help him through this until a cure is discovered. I know many people do not believe in the power of prayer, but I certainly do. We currently have him on numerous prayer chains and prayer lists. Please never give up hope that a cure will be found. We must get this disease out in the public eye once again. Just because it is an orphan disease doesn't mean that all is lost. I pray that your brother will fight this just as my uncle will. God Bless.
